  • Available lengths: 240 - 315 mm in 1 mm increments
  • Compatible with standard J-bend hubs.
  • Notice: Black spokes can be very difficult to pull through tangential straight pull hubs. It is recommended that white spokes are coated black after building using the Black Berd Spoke Coloring Kit.
  • 14 gauge (2.0mm) stainless threaded connection at rim (has flat section that is held with a special tool to prevent twisting)
  • Integral eyelet for connection to J-bend or straight-pull hubs
  • Double square secure lock nipples recommended (sold separately)
  • Must purchase a Berd Builder's Kit (one-time purchase, sold separately)
  • Each spoke order (per 64 spokes) will receive one Berd Consumables Kit, which includes rods for spoke loops (68), wire with loop ends (4), grinding bit (1), rubber polishing bits (3), and Berd wheel stickers (2).

TECHNOLOGY
Berd spokes are made from an advanced polymer called ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) that has 15 times the strength-to-weight ratio of steel and floats on water. Berd spokes have an improved fatigue life compared to steel and are impervious to the elements.

Game Changer

I'm using a lightweight carbon, 28 spoke, wheel on a full power, full weight, e-bike bike. I was shredding all flavors of metal spokes and was about to replace the wheels. As a last ditch effort, JB of JB's Bikes, in Shillington, PA, suggested trying Berd Spokes. Brilliant! Problem solved. Bike rides better, handles better, wheels are "bullet proof", and the thing that I find truly amazing, is how quiet they are. Never thought of spikes as noisy, but there you have it. Thanks for a great product!

All I will use now

Lighter, more comfortable, than previous builds using the same rims and hubs. Hubs were prepped according to Berd guidelines. My mountain wheels are king hubs, WeAreOne convergence rims, 28 hole. These wheels see 200 days a year in Squamish, Whistler and North Van. They have been exceptional. I have another set being laced for a gravel bike as we speak that will see a lot of mileage and use as well. Couldn't be happier. Customer for life.

Fantastic!

Shaved almost 150 grams off my wheelset, plus they ride buttery smooth. I was a little concerned with durability at first, but they've shrugged off two crashes and a handful of sticks and rocks that have gotten kicked up. Worth every penny for a serious rider!

Amazing for XC & Enduro

Been riding these spokes for around 6 months now and HOLY COW, I'm never going back. My bike is easier to pedal, faster to accelerate, wheels feel more dampened (which I wanted because I have stiff ENVE rims), plus I get a ton of attention for them :) I've been racing enduro and xc with them and I've pinged them on rocks, roots, branches, etc and haven't had any noticeable damage. Lastly, the customer support is unparalleled. The service rep who helped me, has helped me for around 2 months figure out different configurations for different bikes, and I cannot recommend them enough. Fair price for the tech, and totally worth it!!!
