I purchased a wheelset in September 2021 for my Ibis Exie 22/40 and they are still going strong after 3+ years of heavy use. I weigh 200#s and ride fairly hard (mostly blue and black rated trails), and, in SoCal, we have a lot of rocks and rock gardens no issues, still true. I had an issue with the rear hub right after I purchased, and I had to send my back wheel in for a rebuild - really good communication (Rob) and excellent customer service. I really like the feel of the wheels; they do damp out vibrations and distribute impact forces - it feels like you have a bit more travel and results in less fatigue. I am really happy with this purchase, and you will be too!
I bought the XC25's in March of 2020 and they are still going strong. Never out of true, I have tensioned them twice. I use them in Oregon for light trail riding, marathon XC racing (Yeti SB100) and 4 days of bikepacking in Idaho on a fully ridge Chisel. Obviously, they are light but I also can vouch for the claims about ride quality -- just the right amount of give for short travel fuss suspension and hard tails.

After 6 months, I can say that the XC25s handle rocky Pennsylvania hills very well. They also track very true and smooth through the corners while acceleration is noticeably quick. Also, the older I get, the lighter I like my XC bikes to be. And, there is no better place to cut weight than the wheels. So, I am extremely happy with the Berd wheels. The I9 hubs are very nice too.
I have Stan's Valor, Stan's Podiums SRD, and Mavic Crossmax Pro Carbon wheels on my other XC bikes. The Berds are the favorite
I was looking for a light wheelset for an upcoming 60 mile and 100 mile XC MTB race, that also had enough width to run a 2.4 tire, and didn't feel too harsh. After a lot of research I pulled the trigger on these and could not be happier. I was a little nervous that the 25mm rims may be too narrow at first, but I was wrong.
These wheels spin up really quickly, are not too harsh, and the traction has been great with both 2.3 and 2.4 tires i've tried on them. Very comfortable ride. I've been riding them a few months now and zero issues at all. I would highly recommend these.
