I bought a set of Berd custom MTB wheels when these spokes first came out. My friends thought I was crazy to have new DT 240 hubs “modified” to fit polymer shoelaces instead of real spikes. Five years later my Berd wheels have done thousands of hours of single track in the coastal hills and Sierra Nevada of California. They are a bit scuffed up, but never broken a spike, still tight, still true, still super light. Thank you Berd!
