Berd Limited Warranty

This Limited Warranty is provided by Berd, LLC to you, the original purchaser, only.

Berd warrants that its rims and spokes will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the duration of the warranty (details below), starting from the date of purchase. Berd will make the final determination of whether a product is defective.

This Limited Warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper use, neglect, abuse, misuse, or alteration of the products.

The customer may be responsible for shipping and labor costs associated with warranty services.

Duration

Berd HAWK and Gold Series wheels - lifetime rim and spoke warranty against manufacturing defects.
All other Berd wheels - 5 years against manufacturing defects.
Berd spokes - 5 years against manufacturing defects.
Berd Hubs - 2 years against manufacturing defects.
Hubs not manufactured by Berd that are included in Berd wheelsets are covered under that hub manufacturer's warranty policy:
- Industry Nine Warranty
- Onyx Warranty

"Crash Replacement" (damage sustained while riding):

This coverage applies only to damage sustained during an actual failure, crash, or fall while the wheel was in use on a bike being ridden. It does not apply to damage from improper use, neglect, misuse, alteration, shipping, personal transit damage, or normal wear and tear (see below). The rider need not “crash” for this service to be used but damage must occur while the wheels are being ridden.

Wheels built with Berd HAWK and/or Gold Series rims — If damaged while riding, the rim will be replaced at no cost for the lifetime of the wheels.
Sparrow24 and Sparrow28 wheels — If damaged while riding, the rim will be replaced at a cost of $200 for 5 years from the date of purchase.
P62 - If damaged while riding, the rim will be replaced at a cost of $300 for 5 years from the date of purchase.
The customer is responsible for labor and shipping for all crash replacements
Berd reserves the right to determine whether reported damage qualifies as damage incurred while riding versus another cause (e.g., manufacturing defect, misuse, or transit damage), and will make the final determination of eligibility.

Wear and Tear

Not covered by the Limited Warranty (e.g., scratches, UV fading, discoloration, cosmetic defects, dirt, bearings, seals, etc.). Spoke failure resulting from impact or contact with an outside object — including but not limited to rocks, sticks, curbs, road debris, or similar hazards — is considered normal wear and tear and is not covered under either the standard warranty or the Crash Replacement program.

Berd reserves the right to deny warranty coverage to any person who abuses its products, programs, or warranty policy.

General Return Policy

Stock Berd products sold to consumers can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase* as long as they are in new, unused condition. Once Berd spokes are laced into a hub, they're considered 'used' and no longer eligible for return. Please be sure to follow the Berd Installation Guide to ensure that you properly calculate your spoke lengths.

*Excludes all custom wheel and wheel rebuilding services. All custom wheel and wheel rebuilding service purchases are final. Berd product warranties do apply if applicable. Any warranty offered by a brand outside of Berd are serviced by that brand.
