Only a couple rides on these, but they are more than noticably faster and lighter than any other wheelset I've ridden, by a lot. I haven't ridden on anything beyond mild xc singletrack. Hopeful that they are not too flexy when I need to push them harder in high speed corners, while being a bigger rider (215lbs).
I've had several high-end carbon wheel sets and none of them even come close to the Hawk30 Golds. Light, strong, stiff where you want them and so compliant through the corners and over chunk. Feels like I'm floating over the rocks and roots and absolutely soaring up climbs. You can push so hard into corners and berms and spring out of them without ever missing a beat. Can't recommend these enough!
Dropped nearly a pound from my already light Hydra Hawk30’s. They accelerate effortlessly. No lateral wandering in the corners. Pretty amazing.
I’ve only ridden i9 and King hubs for the past 2 decades so the lower engagement was glaringly noticeable, but hopefully I’ll get used to that.
I’ve personally been riding and testing the HAWK30 Gold wheels for the past couple of months, and they’re insane. The acceleration and ride quality genuinely make me smile ear to ear.

Our skills coach rode the HAWK30 Gold wheels during training camp and absolutely loved them. There’s a noticeable performance gain in both acceleration and ride feel, and I truly believe in what these wheels bring to the table at the highest level of racing.
One of the biggest benefits we’ve seen is reduced fatigue toward the end of races. The system feels more efficient and composed when it matters most. We’ll be riding Berd spokes again this season, and I’m 100% happy with how the HAWK30 Gold wheels have performed. I’m also really thankful for the quick turnaround and support from the Berd team.
